While the AFL has the power to veto prospective recruitment moves on the "wishlist" North Melbourne have submitted it is believed Hope would play a major role in the team next season.
The Magpies, who at one stage dropped Hope during the 2018 season, have also made an offer to retain one of the most high profile forwards in the competition.
The Kangaroos are believed to be targeting a number of players but the player movement window does not open until tomorrow meaning clubs are unable to confirm signings or contracts until then
