The 21-year-old from Brisbane has enjoyed a successful start to the 2019 season, qualifying for the main draw at three WTA tournaments including Sydney, Hua Hin and Indian Wells.

Hon also made her Fed Cup debut in February when she teamed up with Ash Barty in a live doubles rubber.

The win would see Australia take a thrilling 3-2 victory over the United States.

“I’m so excited to be able to play the main draw of the French Open," Hon told Tennis Australia.

"I’ve never played in another main draw apart from the Aussie Open and I’m aiming for next year to be getting in on my own ranking.

"I’m super excited and can’t wait to go out there and compete.”

Hon peaked at a career-high ranking of No.130 in April after beginning the season at No.157.

She joins Ash Barty, Ajla Tomljanovic, Daria Gavrilova, Sam Stosur and Astra Sharma in the main draw with Kimberly Birrell and Arina Rodionova going through qualifying.

The French Open begins on May 26 in Paris.
