2014 Premiers Perth Glory are just one win away from fulfilling their season's objective; to go #alltheway.

All that stands between them and a rare premiership/championship double and their first W-League title is Canberra United.

From the start the Glory were nominated the "team to beat". It was pressure that was new to captain Collette McCallum and her team embraced rather than cowered from.

"With the pre-season which we had, there was a just a really good vibe. Once we started the season we thought 'we can go out and win this'."

"We knew it was going to be tough but we just had this positive vibe in the team which gotten stronger as the season has progressed."

From the very first match against Brisbane Roar, a team the Glory have struggled against in the past, Perth displayed their attack threat.

That attack was to be the foundation of a record breaking season where they scored the most goals in a single season (39), obtained the most points in a season (30) and won the league with weeks to spare.

Crucially, for the first time Perth have depth. Be it Gabe Marzano, Carys Hawkins or Shawn Billam the substitutes have also slotted in easily and stood up when required.

However, they are up against a side who has been there and do that in similar circumstances to Perth. Canberra have seven players still in the Season 5 record breaking side. That experience and the overall team will be a tough test for the Glory as they have already found out this season.

Then again the finals game is a different game.

Quick Quotes

"While you want to enjoy everything that the Grand Final is and the big experience it is, so from the players we have just tried to make sure that we focus on what we need to do to be successful in the game." - Harnwell on the midweek build up.

"As a coach you are a little bit more helpless than you were as a player. Once the whistle goes you can't really affect the game  on the field. I will be just trying to contain my own nervousness and stop the pacing for hours the morning of the match" - Harnwell on experiencing a grand final as a coach.

"They are a very solid, very organised unit in defence and then when they have got the ball they have a lot of attacking threats. There is a lot that they can damage teams with." - Harnwell on Canberra as opposition.

"The girls that have been here for so long, there is a part of us that is dying for this win on Sunday. The fact that Vids (Elisa D'Ovidio) is retiring as well you want it to finish on a high for her." - McCallum on the motivation.

"We are all great friends off the field so when things aren't going right on the field, there are no negative thoughts. We have all been quite mature and positive and constructive and that has made a big difference."  - McCallum on the camaraderie.

"The Sky Blue FC final feels like such a long time ago! I think that Katie and I are the two oldest and have the most finals experience makes us calm on the field. For me, I just try to keep it positive and more relaxed and not let the tension go overboard."  - McCallum on using her finals experience.
