Looking ahead to the match, Gorry said that the Matildas are no strangers to the United States, and they will bring their best, in what will be an important match ahead of France.

"This game against the United States is massively important, and obviously we are up against the best team in the world and they have always remained in first or second on the rankings.

"To play against them leading up to the World Cup will help give us a big indicator of where we are sitting and what we have to work on.

"With the confidence that we have in the group, I know that we will come out and we will show them what we are made of.

"I think the will definitely remember what we did to them in the last two Tournament of Nations as well."

"Our team played really well in the last three games in Australia and I think with a couple more sessions under our belt, we will keep progressing and become more confident in the way we want to play.

"We have it in us to win, we have to be confident and play without fear, in which we have shown that recently."

The Matildas face the United States on Thursday, April 4 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park (Friday, April 5 12:30pm AEDT) and it will be LIVE on FoxSports 503.
