Two time W-League champions Sydney FC have revealed their current squad for Season 7 of the W-League with a couple of surprise additions and exits.
Led by captain Teresa Polias, Alen Stajcic has kept faith with the bulk of the squad from last season's semi-final run.
“I’m looking forward to the new season and with the squad we’ve got I believe the girls have the ability to achieve silverware," said Stajcic of his squad.
“My main goal this season is to build a positive team, attack and score goals and I’m confident we can do this in 2014.”
Familiar faces return
While the core has remained consistent, Sydney FC's squad sees some noticeable additions and familiar faces.
Former Sky Blues trio Kyah Simon, Servet Uzunlar and Teigen Allen will once again line up for the two time premiers after departing the Western Sydney Wanderers.

Uzunlar and Allen return after two seasons with the cross city rivals and will be a welcome boost to the back half alongside US import Samantha Johnson from the Chicago Red Stars. The 22 year old defender played 12 matches for the Red Stars as they fell just short of the NWSL finals.
While former Golden Boot winner Simon, who won't be ready for the start of the season, is a more than able replacement for Sam Kerr who returned to hometown club Perth Glory.

Another returnee to the Sky Blues is the versatile Renee Rollason. Rollason, who anchored the defence in Seasons 5 and 6, has reversed her decision to retire and will look to resume her role as a goalscoring midfielder.
Sydney FC have also added to their midfield with Young Matilda and NSW Institute of Sport product Olivia Price getting her chance proper after joining late last season as an injury replacement.
Stalwart departures and absentees
Along with the Kerr and Caitlin Foord, at the head of the absentees is former captain Danielle Brogan.
As The Women's Game understands it, Brogan, who is currently playing with Notts County in the FA WSL, is contracted to the English side until the middle of the W-League and at this stage can't be contracted.
For the first time in the competition the name Khamis will not be on the back of a jersey as striker Leena Khamis has succumbing to an ACL injury in the off-season while younger sister Sham Khamis has not returned for a fourth season.
In the forward line Stajcic will be been forced to find replacements for Golden Boot winner Jodie Taylor and impact player Emma Kete with the duo staying overseas in 2014. That search will continue in the lead up to Round 1.
Sydney FC have also announced a new front of shirt sponsor with Beechwood Homes signing on a two year deal.
Sydney FC commence their season with a home encounter with Adelaide United on 14 September 2014.
