Victory currently train in Keysborough, Port Melbourne, Maribyrnong and sometimes at Gosches Paddock or AAMI Park.

The Victory goalkeeper said she didn’t care about having to alternate between facilities.

“To be honest, it doesn’t bother me,” the 26-year-old said.

“As long as we have quality fields and access to everything, whether it’s a five minute drive or an hour drive. If the club has it sorted and we walk in and we get ourselves ready for training and games, then I have no problems.

“City obviously have it sorted with the facility in one place, but if you ask other clubs, they have it too, it just might not be all in one place like City has. Other clubs make sure they’re covered and if it’s not, the players speak up and that’s why PFA make sure the standard is high.”

Dumont has been at Brisbane Roar, Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers before joining Victory and added the league has improved drastically since the inaugural season.

The Matilda currently lives with Teigen Allen, Emily Gielnik and Angela Beard.

City will go in as favourites on Friday night, but Dumont said no games were won on paper. She also added she was pleased about a standalone game at AAMI Park.

“A standalone game was always bound to happen, it was just a question of when,” Dumont said.

“I don’t think it’s a surprise to anyone that it’s come along and everyone is excited for it to finally be here.

“There could always be better marketing for anything. For who we’ve had for our home games and the fans City have had, I think there will be a big turn-out.

“It’s one of those where we just have to wait and see, but I know our girls have already asked for extra tickets, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there are a fair few fans.

“I know a lot of the Victory supporters who support the men have been asking ‘what time is kick-off? We might cheer them on as well’, so it should be a turnout and hopefully it exceeds expectations.

“You could say City have a better team on paper, but we’ve also got some great players too. It’s about who turns up.”
