New Matildas coach Hesterine de Reus has announced the squad for her first Matildas training camp.

The camp which commences this Thursday (21-24 February 2013) is de Reus first chance to have a close look at the Matildas after arriving in Australian in early January.

“It is good to have the bulk of players available and in the country to come into our first camp together“, said de Reus

“The purpose of this training camp is to meet with the players, set-up the highlights of how we are going to work together and also discuss our short-term and long-term aims. “Most importantly we can start on the field and work on our playing style.”

The 31 player strong squad includes some new names, including Brisbane's Amy Chapman and Sydney FC's Sham Khamis, rewarded for their strong W-League seasons as well as some returning players on reduced training loads for variety of reasons including Heather Garriock and those on the return from ACL injuries like Kim Carroll, Ashley Brown, Danielle Brogan and Leena Khamis.
