"Every grand final is a little different but when you go in it is an even playing field, nothing that has happened in the past season matters.

"The best team is going to win on the day," she said.

The one thing facing City is they have not had the season they were probably looking for and ended up finishing in fourth after beating Newcastle Jets 3-0 in the final game of the season to clinch the spot. 

However, the team know how to play in finals.

It was only last season when they came from fourth to beat Perth Glory 2-0 in the grand final to clinch back-to-back Championships.

They showed they can do it again after defeating Premiers Brisbane Roar last weekend to make the final. 

Catley has put it down to having a lot of big game players.

"The game against Brisbane really showed that and we've had some ups and downs this season but coming into the Newcastle game then the game against Brisbane everyone really stepped up," she said.

"We've got four or five really experienced players that loved the big occasion and that's really great coming into a grand final," Catey said.
