Melbourne City is looking for their third straight Championship trophy ahead of Sunday's Grand Final against Sydney FC.
It will be a history-making grand final as both teams have the opportunity to become the first team to lift their third Championship while City also has the chance to go three in a row.
"It is a bit unbelievable," Melbourne City captain Steph Catley said.
"After signing with City three seasons ago, I would have never expected something like this.
"It is unusual to have success for early so to be in a third grand final for the chance to win a third grand final is exciting," Catley said.
City is one of the most successful teams in the W-League having claimed two Championships and a Premiership in just three seasons.
But Sydney stands in their way.
Sydney has been the only team to make every W-League finals series since 2008 but unfortunately, it has only led to four grand final appearances leading to two Championships.
However, a grand final is different and anything is possible.
"It is really hard to know until you start playing," Catley said.
