It's been a wonderful day for Australia's women's tennis players with Daria Gavrilova, Sam Stosur, Ajla Tomljanovic and Jaimee Fourlis all having wins.
Gavrilova got the perfect at the WTA event in Birmingham holding off former world No. 4 Dominika Cibulkova to get a 6-3 7-6(6) win.

She was unable to convert three match points in the 12th game and then stared down two set points in the tiebreak but prevailed to win her seventh of eight tiebreakers she's contested this year.
Gavrilova was a quarterfinalist at the same event last year and faces either defending champion Petra Kvitova or British No.1 Johanna Konta.
Meanwhile, Stosur and Tomljanovic won overnight at the Mallorca Open.
Stosur beat Czech Marketa Vondrousova 6-2 7-5 after having trailed 3-5 in the second set, at the same time Tomljanovic defeated Anna Blinkova 6-4 6-3 to take her place in the main draw.
