There were ups and downs for the Australians overseas and at home this weekend so let's check out how they faired.
TOPPSERIEN (NORWAY)
Mackenzie Arnold made a few great saves but in the end, her side Arna-Bjørnar drew 2-2 with Røa.
Also in Norway, Tameka Butt added another goal to her tally. She was both the creator and the finisher in Klepp’s only goal in a 3-1 loss to Kolbotn.
DAMALLSVENSKAN (SWEDEN)
Elise Kellond-Knight’s Hammarby played two games in quick succession over the past week. Her side lost 2-1 with Melbourne Victory striker Natasha Dowie scoring the late winner for Linköping.
A few days later, Hammarby lost again, this time to Djurgården with the scoreline reading 1-0. Kellond-Knight was very involved in the play but her side couldn’t find the back of the net.
IFK Kalmar went down 4-1 to Växjö with Aivi Luik playing a full match in midfield.
NPL WOMEN (AUSTRALIA)
In NPL NSW, Chloe Logarzo was on the scoresheet for Blacktown Spartans. However, her side lost 4-2 to Caitlin Cooper’s Illawarra Stingrays. Cooper was one of four individual scorers for the Stingrays; their unbeaten run has been extended to five.
Eliza Campbell was once again in goals for the Northern Tigers as they lost 2-0 to Sydney Uni.
In NPL Victoria, Lisa De Vanna’s South Melbourne were 1-0 winners over Heidelberg, though De Vanna didn’t feature at all. Laura Alleway and Galaxy United’s game against Box Hill United was postponed due to the NTC Challenge.
