A heartbreaking ending | Credit: Emily Mogic

Melbourne Victory midfielder Ashley Brown has re-injured her anterior cruciate ligament just minutes into her comeback from her first ACL tear.
Returning from 12 months out from a similar injury to the same knee this time last season, the 19 year old had started her return confidently.
However, just seconds from the final whistle the winger's right knee buckled and from the hush around the stadium and her reaction the worst was feared.
This afternoon Brown confirmed the diagnosis.
Thanks for everyone's amazing messages of support. Really appreciate it, however unfortunately it is the acl again :( #roundtwo

For Brown it all begins again. Surgery to repair the knee will be conducted this week.
The women's football community has rallied around the popular player.
