2013 AFC Assistant Referee of the Year Allyson Flynn will be Australia's sole officiating representative at the Rio 2016 Women's Football Tournament.

Flynn was selected as one of the AFC's six member officiating team for the Olympic Games.

It will the 34-year-old's first Olympics as an Assistant Referee and follows her selection for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, where she ran the lines for the dramatic Japan v England semi final.

The highly experienced Flynn has been an official at all levels from the W-League, AFC youth and senior tournaments and FIFA youth and senior tournaments.  2016 also saw her on the sidelines in the A-League, including for the Round 21 clash between the Central Coast Mariners and the Newcastle Jets.

Flynn is also one of six Australians on the FIFA Referees List for 2016.
