Matildas defender Laura Alleway was a surprising name on the Galaxy United FC teamsheet against Bayside United in the Victoria NPL Women over the weekend.
After signing with the team last week, Alleway scored a vital goal in Galaxy's 3-2 win over the then ladder leaders Bayside United.
Well that was fun @gufootball !! Let’s do it again sometime 😉

The central defender, who has 55 caps for the Matildas, will play a defensive midfielder role in the team but Alleway will not be available for every game.
She joins head coach Kat Smith at Galaxy, who is the assistant coach at Melbourne Victory.
"We are looking to challenge her in a different circumstances to help her prepare for the W-League come the end of the year," coach Kat Smith told the Geelong Advertiser.
"Her priority and my priority for her - wearing two hats here - is an opportunity to put her in an environment that prepared her for W-League given she doesn't have an overseas contract," she added.
