With the AFLW season fast approaching, we take a look at the heppenings this week.
AFLW Launches GenW
“GenW displays that footy is for everyone - young, old, male, female. It is brothers playing alongside sisters, the dads who are proud to cheer on their daughters, the women who never got to play and those who show us they can,” AFL Head of Women’s Football, Nicole Livingstone said.

Adelaide Crows
Chelsea Randall and Erin Phillips to lead again have once again been selected by their teamsmate as co-captains for the upcoming season.
“I’m humbled to have been re-elected by peer vote alongside Erin,” Randall said.
“She’s an amazing leader and we are really fortunate to have such a strong leadership group, but also we are seeing a lot of young players showing excellent leadership qualities.
Phillips said she was privileged to be able to lead the team alongside Randall.
“It’s special to be entering the third AFLW season and hopefully with Chels and the girls we can lead this team to a successful season,” Phillips said.
“Chelsea and I are different but our core beliefs, care factor for the team and goals are the same, so we balance each other out really well.”
