It was a match that had everything and ultimately meant next to nothing. Sensational nonetheless, see how the players fared in Adelaide United's scintillating 2-1 win over Newcastle Jets.
NEWCASTLE JETS RATINGS
Claire Coelho - 7.5
Whether she was stopping them with her gloves or her face, despite conceding two Coelho still had a strong performance tonight.
Gema Simon - 6
She's got bags of quality as we all know and she showed that towards the end of the match.
Still, overall we're a little disappointed by Simon tonight, who hasn't really managed to kick on after such a dominant performance last season. She just couldn't impress her sensational quality onto the match.
Hannah Brewer - 6
Mixed performance after clumsily conceding an otherwise slightly contentious penalty, but she did perform generally strongly in that defensive role and made a few key challenges.
Cassidy Davis - 7
Strong first half but couldn't quite replicate that momentum in the second period as Adelaide increasingly dictated the tempo, leaving Davis' supporting cast a little stranded.
Tessa Tamplin - 7.5
One of Newcastle's stronger performers and an important part of the Jets' equaliser. Withdrawn on the 80th minute mark.
