From the all-American local sports grounds of the NCAA to the hallowed turf of Bayern Munich, Kristin Shaffer brings you an in-depth review of the very best Aussie moments abroad this week.
THREE BEST MOMENTS
3. CLAUDIA JENKINS CAREER HIGH SAVES
Claudia Jenkins and the La Salle Explorers took on Florida Gulf Coast this past week and it was a game to remember for Jenkins. The keeper had a career high 10 saves on the night and only allowed one goal in.
Typically when a team puts up that many shots on goal more than one goes in but Jenkins’ goal stopping night was enough to help her team secure the 2-1 win.

2. TEAGAN MICAH SETS ANOTHER RECORD
This year and quite frankly the past four years Teagan Micah has been dominant in goal for UCLA. She notches clean sheets and keeps UCLA in almost every game. Based off of Micah’s performances from last week she was awarded the Goalkeeper of the Week in her team’s conference, the Pac-12.
This was the eighth time she has received the award in her career setting a conference record. The season is not over yet and who knows how many more awards Micah may earn this year.
Congrats to @DelanieSheehan and @TeaganMicah, who were selected the @pac12 Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively. Teagan's award is the 8th of her career, a new Pac-12 record!

1. EMILY GIELNIK SUITS UP FOR FC BAYERN MUNICH
Often times with new signees it takes a while for them to get acclimated and that is especially true when they join after the season has started. Fans are used to waiting to be able to see new players on the pitch.
But for Emily Gielnik, just two weeks after it was announced that she had signed she was on the field for FC Bayern Munich. Not only did she get into the game, but she actually started the match and got 63 quality minutes before being subbed out.
