Sydney FC thump Canberra United 4-0 in a rescheduled Round Eight match at McKellar Park.
The Sky Blues can score some quality goals
Scoring four goals in a game is a feat in itself, but the quality of Sydney’s strikes is what makes this team something special.
Remy Siemsen scored a brilliant header from a free kick to open the scoring for Sydney - her sixth goal of the season so far.
Next came Latsko’s 33rd minute strike, which she hit low and hard to easily beat Canberra’s defenders and goalkeeper.
It was only Latsko’s second start for Sydney this season after returning from an ACL injury, but you wouldn’t know it from the ball she belted into the back of the net.
Chloe Logarzo’s spectacular back heel soon followed – she received a cross from Caitlin Foord and made no mistake of flicking the ball over the line at the near post.
Sophia Huerta put the icing on the cake with a beautiful finish that hit the left side of the goal in the 84thminute.
The quality of these goals, as well as Sydney FC having four different goal scorers, is something that Ante Juric will be very pleased with as we approach the pointy end of the season.
It’ll be exciting to see how the Sky Blues perform against the in-form Brisbane Roar this Thursday night at Leichhardt Oval.
A bit of magic from @CLogarzo, who scores with the most delicate of touches 🧙♀️#CBRvSYD #WLeague
