Canberra United captain Ellie Brush played her first game for Norwegian side Avaldsnes as they defeated Kolbotn 2 – 1 in the fourth of their pre-season matches. Brush, who partnered Iceland's Mist Edvardsdottir in the centre of defence, started nervously before getting into the game.
"I had been looking forward to playing the game with my new teammates," she told Norwegian newspaper Haugesunds Avis.
"There was no beautiful game, but we won. And I'm happy with my performance."

Tameka Butt continues to slip nicely into life at FFC Frankfurt with the attacking midfielder getting her first start for the German powerhouse against FSV Gütersloh. While the end result was a 5-2 win to Frankfurt, the result wasn't as comfortable as the scoreline suggests. As well as starting Butt also got her name on the scoreboard as she turned home a cross at the far post in the 13th minute.

While Boston Breakers bound Kyah Simon is still awaiting the finalisation of her VISA and travel, Sydney FC teammates Sam Kerr and Caitlin Foord, as well as Perth Glory's Lisa De Vanna left to join up with their NWSL teams last week.
Kerr, who departed first has already been in action for the Western New York Flash. Donning her #4 shirt (we wonder if that was negotiated into the contract!), Kerr managed a second half goal (64th minute) as the Flash brushed aside college team Penn State Nittany Lions 7 - 0 in a pre-season friendly.
