Kerr took just five minutes to tuck away the opener after some canny perserverance from the Matildas’ captain, with Brooke Elby rounding off the match on the 85th.

Kerr now sits four goals clear atop the WNSL scoring charts, four ahead of North Carolina Courage’s Kristen Hamilton on eight goals and six ahead of Midge Purce’s six goals for the Portland Thorns.

She’s now on track to take out a third consecutive WNSL golden boot.

With goal scoring clearly a key indicator of the WNSL’s league position, those three sides make up the top three on the WNSL standings.

Kerr’s Chicago currently sit third, four points behind the Thorns in second and the Courage leading the league by goal difference.
