Yesterday afternoon the Australia Police Rugby Union (APRU) and the Australian Defence Force Rugby Union (ADFRU) came together for the first time.
The APRU team is made up of women from policing jurisdictions across Australia including two Australian Federal Police teammates.
ADFRU scored the opening try through Shannon Evans before Renee Cross and Seaman Shannon went over to extend their lead.
Constable Jasmine Benedict and Probationary Constable Aime Thomas went over for the APRU but the ADFRU would run out 39-10 winners on a chilly Canberra afternoon.
Earlier in the week, both teams conducted a coaching clinic with 70 school kids at Gold Creek Primary.
