Matildas new skipper Sam Kerr is going global in the new worldwide Nike campaign focusing on women's sport.
Narrated by Serena Williams, it pays tribute to the 'crazy' women of sport who broke through the male barriers to do the apparently impossible.
Sam Kerr's trademark backflip features briefly in the full 90 second version seen here – and within a couple of days of going live, it has already notched up more than 6m views on YouTube.
Alongside Kerr, the spot also features Nike athletes including Simone Biles, Caster Semenya, Li Na, Ibtihaj Muhammad, Chloe Kim and of course, Serena Williams.
The ad spot (and being made Matildas skipper this morning) caps a phenomenal year for Kerr, which has seen her playing a W-League Grand Final, winning the double golden boot across two leagues (Australia and USA), and being the first Australian to be nominated for international football award, the Ballon d'Or (and placing fifth).
Next week Nike will also pay tribute to Kerr and the rest of the Matildas when they do a stadium take over in their honour as Australia plays Argentina in Melbourne for the final Cup of Nations clash.
