St George Illawarra Dragons have added two more signings to their NRL Women's Premiership squad.
Back-rower Holli Wheeler and lock Anneka Stephens were both identified by Dragons coach Daniel Lacey at the National Championships earlier this month.
Wheeler only took up rugby league two years ago but has already represented the victorious New South Wales Country at the recent National Championships before a surprise call-up to the New South Wales team for the inaugural Women's State of Origin last Friday.
For the mother of two, it is something she never thought out happen.
"This opportunity is something I never thought I'd be able to do," she said.
"It's absolutely amazing to not only sign for myself but also for my family at home," Wheeler said.
Stephens had a standout performance for the Combined Affiliated States at the National Championships and becomes the second player from the team, after Oneata Schwalger, to sign for the Dragons.
"To be given this opportunity is something amazing and I am very thankful and blessed," she said.
"I just want to take everything in and learn as much as I can to better my game," Stephens said.
The free agency period remains open until Tuesday, July 31 with Dragons pre-season commencing on August 1.
