She played her last game with Manly last weekend.

“I was pretty emotional at fulltime last Sunday, I have been with Manly since I was nine years old,” Siemsen told Manly United FC.

“It hasn’t really sunk in yet, to be honest.

“Living away from home for the first time will be a good learning curve, and fulltime football, I can’t wait for that,” she said.

The Young Matildas striker also had offers from other clubs in America and Japan.

“At this stage of my career, I was keen for a short stint abroad initially,” she said.

“I am now in a position where I can give my all then come back and play for Sydney FC in the W-League, which means basically I will be playing football all year round.

“My ultimate goal is to play for the Matildas and after speaking to Alen Stajcic, we decided this was the best pathway for me,” Siemsen said.
