NSW captain Ruan Sims is out of the inaugural Women's State of Origin with an injury.
She confirmed the injury, which she suffered at the National Champions, on 100% Footy last night.
The 36-year-old required surgery last Thursday with a plate inserted into her fifth metacarpal after suffering a sprial fracture.

Sims also broke her nose which will see her back in surgery but on the field, she did a bit of work herself to ensure it went back into place.
"The surgeon was actually quite impressed with my work," Sims said.
It's a big loss for NSW who are yet to name their squad and will be looking to go three in a row after winning the two previous Interstate Challenges.
