Hayley Raso has been in training and will travel with the Portland Thorns to Chicago this week.
She is one of three injured players including defender Emily Sonnett (lower back pain), and goalkeeper Adrianna Franch (menicus surgery) to make the trip.
Raso had another knee injury towards the end of the Brisbane Roar season which forced her to miss the Algarve Cup before suffering her current injury in the win over Thailand, which booked Australia their ticket to France 2019.
"All three will travel," coach Mark Parsons told Oregon Live.
"We've got quality training this week to get through and we'll find out closer to the Chicago game if one of them is ready to get some minutes.
"The fact that we're taking all three, we feel all of them can be available, worst case by Houston."
