The award, which is given out at the end of the Junior representative season by the Cronulla Sharks, was won by the 18-year-old.

Dodd was the Captain of the victorious Sharks Tarsha Gale Cup side before being selected in the NSW Women's City side who were runner-ups to NSW Country at the Women's National Championships earlier this month.

In that final, Dodd scored a try.

Her impressive performance saw her break into the NSW Blues squad being named 18th player for the inaugural Women's State of Origin match, played last Friday night at North Sydney Oval.

The teenager also became the first female player included in the Sharks Elite Academy where she will train and learn the finer skills of the rugby league alongside the best young male players.
