Over the past few weeks, the Rugby League Players’ Association (RLPA) and NRL have been in talks over how the contracts will look.

However, the contracts present an interesting conundrum. 

With only four clubs and the inaugural season running for just four weeks contracts need to be drafted differently compared to the men's but they also need to consider players might need to relocate.

Along with this it still looks as though the top 40 elite players will receive paid contracts which gives players access to elite training camps, full-time coaching, medical and high-performance staff throughout the year.

So clubs like St George Illawarra, who have Sam Bremner and Kezie Apps aligned with the club as ambassadors, are unable to enter into contract discussions with the players.
