At just 24, Foord is off to her third World Cup.

She is an ever-present goalscoring threat for both club and country, During the W-League season, she scored 10 goals from 18 shots on target. Foord has scored two goals in the Matildas last two matches which took her overall tally to 16.

It was just a year ago that a foot injury she suffered during the 2018 W-League semi-final saw her miss the 2018 Algarve Cup and the 2018 AFC Women's Asian Cup.

Lisa De Vanna

Did you know: She is the highest goal scorer in Matildas history, with 47 goals.

It was an up and down W-League season for the veteran forward with Young Matilda Princess Ibini pushing her for the starting XI spot. De Vanna made 12 appearances in the recent season six starting and six from the bench. 

However, there is no denying how valuable she is to the national side. Her pace on the ball is second to none and will be a great weapon for Australia heading into the World Cup.

Emily Gielnik

Did you know: While on a school trip to the AIS her sports teacher asked then Matildas coach Tom Sermanni if she could join the team on a training session. From there, Sermanni called Jeff Hopkins at the QAS to get her in the team.

Determination, dedication and passion are three words that could some up Gielnik.

The 27-year-old move to Melbourne Victory ahead of the 2018/19 W-League season, one which has paid off in spades with a Premiers' Plate and a ticket to France with the Matildas.

Her speed, power and height give Australia an advantage in front of goals and led to two goals for the Matildas at the Cup of Nations.
