It was another day at the office for the spectacular Sam Kerr in the NWSL and in a milestone week for Matildas Abroad, three players began their seasons in Europe with Emily Gielnik making her debut for footballing powerhouse Bayern Munich.
With NWSL action back on, Sam Kerr wasted no time spreading fear into opposing defences. Kerr had two goals by half-time for Chicago Red Stars as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Houston Dash.

Our Aussies at the Portland Thorns suffered a title chasing set-back. Ellie Carpenter started and played 75 minutes, Hayley Raso played 87 minutes and Caitlin Foord was a second half substitute are they lost 1-0 to Utah Royals.
Steph Catley played a full match for Reign FC as they were won 3-1 against Orlando Pride for whom Alanna Kennedy played a full game.
In Germany Emily Gielnik made her debut for European heavyweights Bayern Munich. She started and played 63 minutes in their 5-0 DFB Pokal win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

In Norway Tameka Yallop played a full match as Klepp IL were smahed 4-0 away from home to Valarenga. The loss sends Klepp down to fourth place in the table. Aivi Luik played 9 minutes for Avaldsnes as they defeated Speed 3-0.
In Spain Alex Chidiac was absent from Atletico Madrid's 1-0 opening round win against Sporting Huelva.
In England Jacynta Galaabraarradchchi made her FA Women's Super League debut for West Ham as a 57th minute substitute. West Ham went down 2-1 away to Joe Montemurro's Arsenal.

In the American College system Teagan Micah played a full match while Rachel Lowe was absent as UCLA lost 2-0 to Santa Clara.
Micah also broke another college record, earning her 8th Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the week in her career.
Teresa Morrissey played a full game in between the sticks as Rhode Island drew 1-1 with Pittsburgh.
