The ankle injury put the 24-year-old out of contention for Australia's squad for the Cup of Nations.

It was the first time national team players were going to meet with the newly appointed head coach Ante Milicic. However, Logarzo was back in Sydney rehabbing and trying to get back to fitness.

She was able to do just that and was named in the side to face the United States but didn't get any game time.

However, she still did enough to impress Milicic and get her call up for France.

"This is my first World Cup on the world’s biggest stage and something that means so much to me," Logarzo said.
