Matilda Elise Kellond-Knight is headed back to the W-League for the first time in three years after she was lured home by Melbourne CIty.
The 28 year old defensive midfielder has been playing overseas in Germany with 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam and Swedish side Hammarby since leaving Brisbane Roar in 2015.
But now the Gold Coast-born star is set to sign for Melbourne City as they look to retain their Championship for a fourth consecutive season.

Kellond-Knight is a Matildas veteran with 95 caps, including playing a key role in the 2010 Asian Cup title and the 2011 and 2015 World Cup campaigns, which earned her a place in both FIFA Women’s World Cup All-Star Teams.
