Matilda and Perth Glory forward Sam Kerr has been nominated for the AFC Women's Player of the Year.
Kerr will be looking to win her consecutive Player of the Year award after helping the Matildas to the Final of the Asian Cup in April this year.
The 25-year-old has scored 27 goals in 72 appearances and is up against China PR’s Wang Shuang whose four goals in Jordan helped the Steel Roses finish third at the Asian Cup.
She will also have tough competition with Japanese captain Saki Kumagai having also been nominated.
Both Kumagai and Kerr were nominated for the Best FIFA Football Awards in July.
If Kerr is successful at winning the award she will become just the third women's player to win the award multiple times with Japanese legends Homare Sawa taking the award twice and Aya Miyama winning three times.
