It was a massive clash to begin the round as second versus third battled it out to remain unbeaten. Adelaide came into the match with the best defensive record in the competition, only conceding once.

But Adelaide faced their biggest test defensively, with Kerr, Rachel Hill and former Red, Alyssa Mautz the triple threat in attack for Perth. Hill's top notch crosses into the penalty area proved their strength as Kerr was there to finish.

Adelaide's prolific Veronica Latsko scored first to put her side ahead. Perth then came from behind through Matildas star, Kerr, who put on a show in front of goal as per usual.

Latsko also found the net again, this time in the 79th minute to equalise.

It didn't take long for Perth to fire as the game commenced, with Kerr's wonderful through ball that found Hill, but her shot was saved by Sarah Willacy. Glory, who boast thirteen goals already this season, split apart the Adelaide defence for their first chance, which is something the Reds have not been used to.

Due to the fiery weather, Adelaide built-up their play patiently, with it almost paying off in the 10th minute. Latsko danced around Jenna Onions to release to Gunnhildur Jonsdottir, with Eliza Campbell claiming the shot safely.

Hill and Kerr combine again, as Kerr had a direct crack at goal following the chance from the hosts.

Both sides applied and dealt with the pressure, which meant chances were aplenty at either end and the intensity began to rise despite the conditions.

Kerr then forced Willacy into a diving save, as her volleyed shot on the half-turn is cleared, following a superb cross from Mautz.

The Reds drew first blood in the 22nd minute through a poised Latsko who scored on the counter, with a tidy finish after Amber Brooks' long pass, which created the scoring opportunity to make it 1-0.

Just after the half hour mark, Fanndis Fridriksdottir blazed her earnt free-kick wide from 20-yards in another chance for Adelaide.

Kerr equalised with a swift header at the near post, making it look all too easy with a brilliant connection on the cross.

Latsko ran down the wing intensely to almost instantly reply, but her shot was just wide of the post in what looked like a definite goal.

Kerr bagged her brace with class after beating two Adelaide defenders, bringing Hill's ball down to fake and then ultimately slot home effortlessly right on the break to make it 1-2.

The game remained intense in the second half, and closing in on the hour mark, Mautz was sent-off after picking up a second yellow for a foul on Laura Johns.

Jonsdottir then hit the crossbar after a shot came off her knee from six-yards to almost put the scores level again.

Adelaide continued to chase, but Perth remained resolute despite the numerical disadvantage.

Their persistence paid off when Latsko volleyed in from close-range from a corner to level the score-line.

With five minutes plus stoppage remaining, Willacy pulled out a double save to deny Kerr's powerful drive.

In injury time, Michelle Heyman flicked a header toward Isabel Hodgson, who wasn't able to get her shot on target. Kerr showed plenty of urgency and drive, but the match surprisingly finished up at 2-2.
