Lisa De Vanna has returned to South Melbourne for the remainder of the 2018 Victorian WNPL season.
De Vanna is the latest in a growing procession of Matildas, both current and former, to join the Victorian Women's National Premier League.
Former Matildas captain and goalkeeper, Melissa Barbieri, made waves by joining Heidelberg United as an outfield player during a period of injury recovery in 2014.
De Vanna won the NPL Premiership and Championship double - scoring 18 goals in the process - with a dominant South Melbourne side last season, before leading Sydney FC in the W-League.
