Canberra United have finalised their squad ahead of their opening W-League match with the announcement of Maria Jose Rojas.
The Chilean superstar, better known as ‘Cote’, arrived in Australia this week and has spent nearly 14 years in the Chile national team.
“To sign another international of such high calibre is a big boost for us,” coach Heather Garriock said.
“Cote is a proven star, has been in the Chile setup since 2004 and I'm excited for Australia to see just how talented a player we have signed.”
Cote is expected to line up for Chile against the Matildas in next months two friendlies.
“I am excited to sign for Canberra United and I can’t wait to begin the season this weekend,” she said.
“I’d like to thank Canberra United, Heather and the team for the opportunity they are giving me.”
“I have heard many positives about this team both here and internationally and I am excited to be a part of the club,” Cote said.
