Melbourne City and Brisbane Roar played out an entertaining game on a warm night in Redcliffe. Brisbane had plenty of chances but couldn’t put them away. City took their chances and took home the chocolates.

Melbourne City
Lydia Williams - 8
Looked safe all night, her ball distribution and decision making was good all night long. It’s what you’d expect from the veteran.
Lauren Barnes -7.5
Plenty of involvement and decent distribution with the ball.
Emma Checker - 6.5
Not enough touches, but when she did have them she was fairly accurate.
Rebekah Stott - 7.5
Plenty of involvement in defence and attack.
Ellie Carpenter - 6.5
Did some good things, her runs were impressive, but it still wasn’t her best night. Taken off after 60 minutes after a silly yellow card.
Passing was off tonight.
Aivi Luik - 8.5
Won a penalty in the 55th minute after cleverly drawing a foul from Gorry. Smashed home a goal in the 75th minute.
Provided plenty of drive and was very accurate with her passing. All class from the Matilda.
