Brisbane Roar has snared one of Japan’s finest ever female footballers for the upcoming W-League campaign.
World Cup winner Yuki Nagasato, who has amassed 132 national team caps, joins the Queensland outfit on loan from NWSL club Chicago Red Stars.
Roar is confident adding the lethal striker to their attacking arsenal will boost the team's Premiership defence with the 31-year-old netting an eye-catching 175 goals throughout her celebrated career.

"Yuki has achieved so much in her football career already and I'm sure our supporters are as excited as we are to see her in Orange for season 11," Coach Mel Andreatta said.
"She brings top-level experience at both club and International level, which will be hugely beneficial in what is going to be an extremely competitive competition."
Roar’s new recruit is a two-time Frauen Bundesliga, and one-time UEFA Women’s Champions League champion with FFC Turbine Potsdam as well as the Bundesliga’s top scorer in 2013.
Brisbane’s latest signing became a World Champion with Japan at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup before falling one step short four years later, as well as representing her country at the 2012 Summer Olympics - leaving with a silver medal.
Nagasato joins an impressive list of players to have committed to BRFC this week, including Captain Clare Polkinghorne and Orlando Pride duo Carson Pickett and Chioma Ubagagu.
