Former Socceroo Mark Bresciano and former Matildas Amy Duggan have been named as the Appointed Directors to the board of Football Federation Australia
Duggan (nee Taylor) has 27 caps and three goals to her name between 1997 and 2005. Since retiring from international football, she has enjoyed a successful media career with Fox Sports, ABC and WIN News and recently hosted coverage of the 2019 Women’s World Cup France for Optus Sport.
Former midfielder Bresciano played 84 times for the Socceroos with 13 goals and was a member of Australia’s squad at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups, playing a record nine games.
He also enjoyed a 20-year professional career, including stints in Italy’s Serie A with Lazio, Parma and Palermo, and is an FFA Hall of Fame inductee.
FFA Chairman Chris Nikou said he was delighted to welcome the pair to the board.
“Amy and Mark have had stellar football careers and are highly respected members of the football community," said Nikou.
“My fellow directors and I very much look forward to working with them as we navigate this particularly important time in Australian football.
“We are delighted to have their skills and experience in the Board Room, and look forward to Amy and Mark making a significant contribution to our game in their new roles.”
