Heidelberg United FC announced the departure of Barbieri, their Senior Women's NPL coach, on their Facebook page.

"The club would like to sincerely thank Melissa for all her contributions to Heidelberg United FC as a player and coach over the past three seasons, and wishes her well in her future endeavours."

Barbieri has been active recently promoting the recently released On The Ball app
