The NWSL has reached the halfway mark of the season while the NPL and European Matildas are also halfway through their season. Here’s how the Aussies did this week.
UNITED WOMEN'S SOCCER (USA)
Last week, Cindy Lay scored the winner for Grand Rapids in their win over Indy Premier. The team had this weekend off.
WOMEN'S PREMIER SOCCER LEAGUE (USA)
Remy Siemsen has been unstoppable for California Storm. The 18-year-old scored a hat-trick against MVLA Wolves, steering the Storm to a 4-1 win.
DAMALLSVENSKAN (SWEDEN)
It was an Aussie derby in Sweden with Aivi Luik's IFK Kalmar taking on Elise Kellond-Knight's Hammarby.
Hammarby won 4-0 with Kellond-Knight's free-kick finding the head of a teammate for goal number four.
TOPPSERIEN (NORWAY)
Tameka Butt scored the lone goal in Klepp's 1-0 win over Stabæk in the league. Klepp also progressed through to the next round of the Norway Women's Cup with a 2-0 win mid-last week.
Arna-Bjørnar and Mackenzie Arnold were just as victorious this week, winning in the Cup and the league with a 3-2 scoreline in both matches.
NPL (AUSTRALIA)
In NPL Victoria, Laura Alleway was the match winner for Geelong Galaxy United in a 1-0 win over the Senior NTC. The defender has been in good goalscoring form, netting five times in the six matches she's played.
Over in NSW, Casey Dumont's North Shore Mainers were 4-2 winners over Blacktown Spartans while Eliza Campbell kept a clean sheet for the Northern Tigers in a 0-0 draw against Sutherland Shire.
