Matildas defender Clare Polkinghorne is headed back to the NWSL for the first time since 2015.
Polkinghorne will join the Houston Dash pending her International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 visa.

The Brisbane Roar captain took home the prestigious Julie Dolan medal after being named joint winner with Sam Kerr at the Julie Dolan Awards night in April.
She was also named Players' Player of the Year at the Brisbane Roar awards night.
The 29-year-old signed with Portland Thorns in 2015 but has not been overseas since, choosing to remain in Australia and has previously been playing with the Brisbane Roar Women's side in the U14 NPL boys competition.
Polkinghorne joins Matildas forward Kyah Simon at Dash who currently sit seventh place.
