The 27-year-old arrives on loan from National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Houston Dash.

Brooks has an impressive pedigree, having spent the past five seasons plying her trade in the American top-flight as well as two stints in Europe.

Brooks, predominantly a defender, is also capable of operating in midfield, with her versatility providing multiple options for Head Coach Ivan Karlović.

She bagged a combined nine goals in 27 matches over two separate spells in Germany.

Brooks has been capped once by her country which occurred against Brazil in 2013.

Speaking on the arrival of Brooks, Karlovic said: “Amber arrives in the squad with a wealth of experience having played at the highest level in the United States for the last five years.

“This is, of course, not to mention her time in Germany and her cap for the United States national team, all of which proving just how much quality she boasts.

“She’s a fantastic player and reads the game expertly as a defender or in midfield.

“Amber’s leadership qualities and knowledge of the game will also be extremely beneficial to us throughout the year.”
