Anyone with a cursory understanding of the Matildas will tell you we're definitely not a one-woman team. But you could be forgiven for assuming that sometimes...
After another brace, which sealed her 40th goal in 40 games for clubs and country this year, led the Matildas to a 2-1 win over Chile, the Tillies captain wasn't holding back.
"We were good for about 75 minutes but the final 15 minutes weren't good enough," Kerr said.
While Chile had played four matches since the Matildas' World Cup, this was the first chance Australia had to link up together since the defeat to Norway.
It was on Kerr's mind leading into the match and while Ante Milicic has clearly tried to swap things around and focus on encouraging a possession style, it was a two steps forward, one step back scenario.
The Matildas controlled the game excellently, restricting the visitors to very few chances. But our lack of fluidity in the final third nearly cost us when Chile broke through a tight-defence to score from a set-piece late on.
It was against the run of play, but according to Kerr, the scoreline had some validity.
"Conceding a set-piece was really disappointing because we know that players are going to sit back against us. We played good for about 75% of the game but that's not good enough for us.
"It was a good a test for us though. We know we can play well on the counter-attack but can we control the game and the ball?"
We'll be one step closer to knowing after the Matildas face Chile again on Tuesday night.
