Melbourne City remain undefeated and jump into second on the ladder.
A great strike
Mijatovic put her side in front in the 76th minute from a belter of a strike. Ellie Carpenter delivered into the box before Mijatovic’s left foot smashed the ball into the back of the net - a strike that will likely rival some of the better goals of the season so far.
But the Serbian internationals goal did more than just win Melbourne City the game.
The 2-1 win for City means that they remain undefeated in their campaign so far, with three wins and a draw to date. Their triumph also means that City leapfrog Sydney FC into 2nd place and are now only behind the Western Sydney Wanderers on goal difference.
76’ GOAL FOR CITY!!
Jesus, Mijatović’s belted the crap out of that one. Terrifying. They’re the ones that keepers pretend to have a go at but pray that it doesn’t hit them.
