After Mary Fowler gave Adelaide United the lead, Kristen Hamilton and Kyra Cooney Cross struck back for the hosts, giving the Wanderers a narrow first win of the season.
"It felt amazing, the girls did well. I've only been in pre-season for two sessions so it was amazing to get a goal," she said.
"Obviously we had difficulties in the Young Matildas but we learnt from it and coming out here with the girls was fantastic.
"I love the girls here, they've all made me feel really welcome. But like I said, I've only had two training sessions so it's all new, yeah, it was good.
"I don't know what I was thinking but I wasn't comfortable. I've been practising them every day in training."
It cements a winning history over United, who now trail the Wanderers by two victories to six in the W-League era.
Her former Wanderers teammate, Georgia Yeoman-Dale, affirmed the effort.
"It was a good goal, she's put it in the right area and there were a lot of players in the box blocking Sarah Willacy's view there," she said.
"Like I say, put it in the box, get it on target, you've got a chance of it going in the back of the net."
