The AFLCA has announced Western Bulldog Emma Kearney and Adelaide Crow Chelsea Randall as the joint winners of the 2018 Shadforth Financial Group AFLCA AFLW Champion Player of the Year Award.
Kearney pulled out a perfect 10 in the final round as the Dogs clinched the minor premiership and spot in the grand final which brought her level with Randall on 42 votes.
Randall held a six vote lead over Kearney coming into the final round of the regular season.
She was able to poll four votes despite coming off injured in the third quarter and the Crows lost to Collingwood.
Kearney’s Bulldog teammate, Ellie Blackburn, finished next with 35 followed by the Brisbane Lions, Kate Lutkins, on 34.
