Adelaide Lightning have signed Opal’s Commonwealth Games gold medallist Stephanie Blicavs on a one-year deal.
The 27-year-old, who has played for the Dandenong Rangers for the past three seasons, won the Dandenong Rangers Most Valuable Player Award last season.
She rejoins her former coach Townsville Fire coach Chris Lucas at Lightning.
“I’m really, really excited," she said.
"I’ve had Chris as a coach before and I like the way he goes about what he does and I’m really, really excited to be joining the group.
“I think it’s always good to do something new and especially at this point in my career it’s always good to explore all your options and I think Adelaide will be a really good fit for me,” Blicavs said.
She joins former Dandenong captain and Lightning point guard Aimee Clydesdale, who signed a two-year-deal with Lightning in 2017.
