Sydney FC returns to Westfield W-League action today as they take on Adelaide United in Week 6. The match also sees a much welcomed return to the line up of prolific striker Leena Khamis.

Foord named AFC Youth Player of the Year
Matildas and Sydney FC defender Caitlin Foord has been awarded the 2011 AFC Youth Player of the Year awarded at last nights AFC Awards in Kuala Lumpur. The award concludes a terrific 2011 for the 17 year old who has now been recognised at national, regional and international level as the leading young female footballer in the world.

Stajcic settles on Sydney squad
Alen Stajcic has named his Sydney FC squad for the 2011/12 Westfield W-League. The squad sees the return of Sarah Walsh and the introduction of Matildas' defender Thea Slatyer as well as the promotion of several NSWIS players.

Rapinoe joins Sydney
It started with a mid-week teaser by the FFA Girls FC twitter account but by the end of the week it was revealed (well pretty much so) that Sydney FC had signed US midfielder Megan Rapinoe.

Interview with Julie Rydahl
Julie Rydahl and sky blues teammate Cathrin Paaske have been instrumental in their sides great showing this season.
Since her debut for the Danish National Team in 2001, the midfielder has racked up 50 international matches including being part of the Danish squad who reached the semi finals of Euro 2001.
Rydahl as won six straight Danish championships with Brøndby IF and Sydney will be hoping some of that luck rubs off on them.
