Tournament of Nations to air on Fox Sports

Fox Sports looks to have cemented itself as the main broadcaster for women’s football in Australia with its scheduled live broadcasts of the 2017 Tournament of Nations.

All three of the Matildas’ matches against world no. 1 United States, world no. 6 Japan and world no. 8 Brazil will be shown on the pay tv station.

The Matildas first clash will be against current World Champions, the United States and be live on Fox Sports 505 with the coverage commencing right on kick off at 12pm next Friday, 28 July.

Meanwhile the matches against the Japan and Brazil will be of Fox Sports 503 and Fox Sports 505, respectively.  Fox Sports has also scheduled most of the other matches in the 4 nations tournament meaning Australians will be able to watch the full schedule of games.

Currently it appears that there will be no free-to-air broadcasting of the Tournament of Nations matches.

As well Fox Sports, the Tournament of Nations will be available on the Fox Go app.

The Australian based players have departed for the United States today where they will meet up with their Asian, European and American counterparts for a short camp in Seattle before their opening match of the tournament.

The Women’s Game will have full coverage of the Matildas participation in the Tournament of Nations.
